Restaurants To Try In Benalmádena Spain
There are some really great restaurants to try in Benalmádena, Spain. I’m constantly updating this list as I visit more restaurants when I visit Benalmádena every year in February and March.
Lime & Lemon
Lime & Lemon is one of my favourite restaurants in Benalmádena. It has a great tapas menu with items that everyone can enjoy, including kids. The decor is modern and trendy and they have a really great enclosed patio area so it’s very bright and inviting.
Some of our favourite things on the menu are the goat cheese salad (SO good!), mini slider burgers, and tacos. The staff has always been really really friendly and we love that they periodically do fundraisers for the cat Humane Society in Spain.
It is recommended that you make reservations at Lime & Lemon. They have an easy way to do this online, you can visit them in person, or give them a call.

The Carvery
The Carvery is a very popular restaurant on the border of Torremolinos and Benalmádena. If you’re a meat lover, this is an especially great option. They do also have meals on their menu for vegetarians and vegans, but they are definitely known for their meat buffet.
When you choose the Carvery from the menu, you can choose from a selection of roast beef, pork, turkey, ham, and lamb. This is offered buffet style so you can go back as many times as you’d like.
The space is very modern and trendy with their decor and isn’t your typical Spanish restaurant. The decor and vibe reminds me of restaurants in North America.
The last time I went with my husband he ordered the Carvery buffet, but I opted for a burger, which was really great. They also have lots of drink specials with some fancy drinks and cocktails. They have a special for seniors if you’re over 60 and visit on a Saturday you get a discount on the carvery.
Marcelina & Garcia
I had only ever been to Marcelina & Garcia in Arroyo de la Miel for coffee but was recommended it for some of the best Italian meals in Benalmádena.
As you can see from my picture, we ordered a pizza that comes in a rectangle shape and it was delicious. We liked that you can get a mix of toppings on either end of the pizza. They also brought bread and oil out before our meal (like I needed more carbs but YOLO).
The server was very friendly, you could tell the ingredients were fresh and overall the space is beautiful, inviting, and clean. They even gave us a heart shaped sucker after we finished our pizza. All in all it was a great experience.
Acholinos
Acholinos is another restaurant in Benalmádena that I recommend especially if you’re looking for a great burger. This restaurant has a really cool indoor-outdoor set up. They have an awesome covered patio that has a great vibe to it with string lights, lots of plants and overall just a really great feel.
The servers have always been really great and we’ve never been disappointed with the meals. Again, this is my favourite place to get a burger in Benalmádena, Spain.
Pro Tip: If you want it cooked well done like it is in Canada, just make sure you say “bien hecho” when you order.
Finding a good burger in Benalmádena has been a bit of a challenge so I was thrilled to have found Acholinos.
Pizzería Ardisson
Ardisson Pizza is a great spot for Italian food like authentic Italian pizza in Benalmádena. When we visited this restaurant, it was pouring rain so we quickly went inside.
We were greeted by a really nice young waiter. We ordered our drinks and pizza and then the waiter said he needed to tell us something (in broken english). He said that his dad was normally the cook, but he was unavailable so the son was working and taking over for the evening.
We confirmed that we trust him and that he’ll be fine. It was a really cute moment because it’s like he needed to tell us a secret. Honestly, we were just happy to be out of the rain and were completely fine with with it. Well, the pizza was truly incredible.
I think he was relieved when we let him know that we really loved the pizza and that he did a great job. He then called us ‘me familia’ for the rest of the evening and even gave us a shot of something with our bill. Interacting with locals in this way is truly what it’s all about. Pizzería Poesia
If you’re looking for wood fired pizza we really enjoy Pizzería Poesia. This pizza restaurant is a little tucked away, but it is worth visiting. It is run by a husband and wife duo and the pizza is delicious. They also offer takeout. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Dizzy Donkey
Another spot is dizzy donkey. I would recommend this for a cold drink cocktail or a small tapas. It’s located just off the beach promenade and has a great view of the sea. This was recommended to me by my wedding hair and make up girl and we’ve enjoyed if on many occasions. There’s also a few other spots in that area to check out.
Oceans for Fish N’ Chips
If you’re looking for traditional fish n’ chips, we were recommended Oceans a few times. We eventually went there so my Dad could try the fish n’ chips (their specialty).
I’m not much of a fish eater but my Dad really enjoyed it. They also have a great view of the sea from their patio.
