Whether you’re visiting Duluth for the countless outdoor activities available, to enjoy the many Duluth breweries, to take in the history of Glensheen Mansion, or to simply enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior, Enger Lofts are such a great place to stay and call home during your visit.

The unit that we stayed in at Enger Lofts was a trendy, apartment-like studio with so much natural light, exposed brick and the best, vibey space. I share more about my experience below.

Location Of Enger Lofts In Duluth

Enger Lofts is located in Duluth’s Lincoln Park Craft District, directly across the street from a popular Duluth brewery. The location felt really safe and was great because of the walkability to lots of different shops and restaurants.

Enger Lofts Hotel & Marketplace Duluth, MN

The actual Enger Lofts building itself is incredible. When I discovered that it’s home to some awesome local shops and a vibey coffee shop, I was thrilled. I didn’t think I’d ever need to leave!

Enger Lofts Lobby

The entrance to Enger Lofts is self-serve but they gave great instructions and it was easy to figure it out and open the door. The lobby area really sets the tone for the whole experience. I knew right when I walked in and saw the neon light, large mirror and cool couch that our room was going to be great.

I also loved that they had great, accessible stairs. I like being able to use the stairs after dropping my suitcases off. Lots of times, stairs are tucked away only to be used for a fire escape and don’t always feel safe to use. I was thrilled they had bright, clean, safe stairs. They also have an elevator.

The coffee shop on the main floor of the building is awesome. It opens early which is great if you’re an early riser and want to grab a coffee and head back to your room. They have lots of table available so it’s a great spot to do a little work, read a book or just chill.

They even have the garage door windows that open if the weather allows. It’s a great spot and one that we enjoyed multiple times throughout our stay at Enger Lofts.

Local Shops At Enger Lofts

There are some incredible local shops to check out at Enger Lofts. I spent lots of time in North & Shore and Goat Hill World Market and a few others. I purchased a beautiful greeting card, a cute pink jacket and a pretty blue glass vase.

Enger Lofts Hotel Room

As I briefly mentioned above, our room was incredible. It’s actually hard to even call it a room because it truly felt like our own apartment. The exposed brick and natural light beaming in from the huge windows down the entire wall of the apartment had us excited from the moment we opened the door.

I always find that when there’s exposed brick in a space it naturally creates a vibe without need much other decor but the decor they did have there was very calming, trendy bohemian style and definitely made it feel like home.

They even had old school records, a history book on the Glenshee Mansion, and real pottery mugs from Duluth Pottery & Tile. If you’re anything like me, drinking coffee or tea out of an actual pottery mug is truly the key to my heart. So I was thrilled to see the mugs and use them.

Living Room

The living room was great with couch and chair, cozy plush cream rug and mounted TV. The TV was already set up with Netflix which was a nice touch.

My favourite spot while we listened to some music was on the couch looking back in the apartment to the wall of windows and exposed brick or in the camel-toned leather chair.

Kitchen

We had a full kitchen including microwave, oven, big fridge, and even a dishwasher. There was no dining table but the kitchen had a bar style counter with bar stools which worked perfectly.

Bedroom

Another thing I love about staying at Enger Lofts in Duluth is that these studios have separation between the kitchen, washroom, everything.

In most studios that I’ve been in, your bed is right there in the centre of the space and acts as the couch as well. Or even worst, there’s no where to eat dinner so it’s also the dining table.

In our unit, the bedroom didn’t have its own door but it does have tall separator walls on either side. It was enough to make it feel like you were in a separate space.

The bohemian decor continued into the bedroom which looked really nice and again, made it feel like home. I loved the area rugs that they had throughout the space.

Bathroom

The bathrooms were clean, large and had a standing shower and much to our surprise, a full washer and dryer. They’ve really thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable.
