Next Level Specialty Coffee

Next Level Specialty Coffee has everything you want in a quality coffee shop.

From the friendly staff, to a cozy & quaint vibe with a few tables inside and awesome window seats, delicious coffee options, and my favourite part – actual pottery mugs. It’s no secret that my pottery obsession is fierce and drinking from a warm pottery mug truly enhances my experience. If that’s your thing too, this is the coffee shop for you.

Much to my surprise and delight, the mugs for this Málaga coffee shop were custom made with their logo and had a little message waiting for us at the bottom of our mug (see picture below). It was a cute touch!

Recyclo Bike Café

Recyclo Bike Café is high on my list of coffee shops to visit in Málaga. It definitely has a cool, hipster vibe to it. It’s a great spot to enjoy a coffee, sit and watch locals come and go. Everyone working there seems to be having fun which is always nice to see. When a certain song came on that the barista/bartender must’ve really liked, he turned the music up to enjoy it.

In terms of seating – there are a few tables, vintage couches (including a cool purple velvet one) and coffee tables, an awesome tiered seating nook at the very back and a whole section outside.

I rarely say this but I definitely recommend sitting inside on one of the couches or in the tiered seating nook at the back so you can look out at the entire coffee shop. This café is full of colourful art, bikes hanging from the ceiling, and other art installations. There are even board games to play if you’re in the mood.

The location of Recyclo Bike Café is great. It’s right down the street from the popular Atarazanas Central Market.

Delicotte: Málaga Coffee Shops

It is rare in Spain to have coffee served in ‘to-go’ cups or as they say in Spain ‘take-away’ cups. Although I do appreciate embracing the Spanish culture of sitting in to enjoy coffee and drinking from an actual mug – the reduction in waste alone is incredible. That being said, it can be handy once in awhile to enjoy a coffee on the go or while wandering around Málaga.

If you’re looking for a coffee to go, check out Delicotte. It’s another awesome coffee shop in Málaga. It’s a cool spot because it has some unique coffees to order, including Sifón Japonés (which my husband ordered). Delicotte is essentially a walk-up coffee shop. The two ladies working there when we visited were the most friendly people. They seemed to really love their job which is always nice to see.

Watching the whole process of the Sifón Japonés was really neat. It has quite a few steps and looked like a science experiment was taking place. Really cool to watch!

Delicotte also has smoothies (which looked incredible) or tea and matcha lattes.

SANTA Coffee

Next up in this guide to the best coffee shops in Málaga, Spain is Santa Coffee. They have a few locations across Málaga. They roast their own coffee beans so they definitely know a thing or two about quality coffee. We enjoyed sitting out on their patio.

Along with coffee they have baked goods and other food to order which makes it a great place to grab lunch.

Bertani Café

This is another popular coffee shop in Málaga that offers ‘take-away’ coffee. They have a very small wall mounted bar to sit at inside with a few stools so it’s best to plan to get a coffee to go from Bertani Café. They’ve been offering quality coffee since 2012 and my husband says this is the best coffee he’s had in Spain so far.
