I was visiting Niagara Falls, Ontario to see a comedy show and wanted to stay somewhere that was close enough to grab an Uber but was still budget friendly and had a little character to it.
We were so happy with our stay at the Ole Dentist Office Historical Huron House and highly recommend it.
The moment we pulled up to this old character home in Niagara Falls, I was so happy. It’s a beautiful home, we parked right out front and it kept getting better as we checked out the place.
The moment I opened the door (which is a gorgeous old door), I kept looking around and saying ‘Wow, look at all these details!’. If you appreciate a little character in a home, nostalgic vibes, and modern touches – you’ll love your stay here.
This stay is located in a beautiful character home on a dead end street close to Niagara Falls city center. It has a completely separate entrance so even though it’s in a home, you have full privacy. We didn’t see anyone when we were there. Just look for the beautiful old door with the ‘Dentist Office’ sign on it. This separate rental unit used to be a dental office so they’ve kept the name which is kind of fun.
As you head inside, you’ll see a mix of modern amenities like a bar fridge, microwave, toaster oven and coffee bar area mixed with antique and vintage decor accents and furniture. Plus, there are lots of plants which adds a relaxing ‘home-like’ feel to this space.
There’s even an old timey heat register which have become a thing of the past. It’s the best of both worlds in my opinion. The decor is a nod to days of yesteryear and the history of this home. There is also a book shelf full of books and board games which is a welcomed treat in a world full of tablets and phones.
We loved sitting in the beautiful chairs and listening to music before we headed out to our comedy show. Honestly, I wish we had had more time to sit in and relax with a book.
Through the sitting area there is a curtain door that leads to the bedroom and then the bathroom. The bathroom is quite spacious and includes a waterfall shower head.
The space was really clean and was the perfect stopping ground for our time in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
If you’re a cat lover, you’ll be happy to know you might even get a visit from the owners cat. I was thrilled when I saw him on the patio and wanted a few scratches. Absolutely made our day 🙂
